The Château La Chaire Hotel in St Martin, Jersey has been awarded 4 AA Silver Stars after being selected as highly recommended.
The award is given only to hotels which offer a superior level of quality within their star rating; high standards of hotel keeping, in particular hospitality, service and cleanliness; and hold an AA Rosette award for the quality of their food. A 4-star hotel must achieve a merit score of 83% or more to be recognised for the award. Nationwide benchmarking is also taken into consideration.
Château la Chaire, which previously held 4 AA Black Stars and has 2 AA Dining Rosettes, is now one of less than 50 4-star Highly Recommended Silver Star hotels from among the thousands of hotels that the AA inspects in the UK.
Château la Chaire Director & General Manager, Mark Collins, added: “We are delighted that our hard work and excellent standards have been further recognised by the AA. The entire team has worked very hard and this industry recognition is well deserved.”
The hotel has also been given the AA’s breakfast award in recognition of high quality breakfasts with emphasis on the use of freshly prepared local ingredients.
Château la Chaire is a 14 bedroom country house hotel set on the cliffs of the wooded valley of Rozel in St Martin, Jersey. Originally built in 1843 as a private house the Chateau has been transformed into a luxury hotel with continued investment and development.
